Full mouth restoration involves restoring your teeth, bite and muscles back to their properly functioning state while creating a beautiful smile.
When your bite is off, the jaw is not aligned and as a result your healthy teeth can break, chip or wear down unevenly. Frequently, earlier restorations such crowns or fillings can be damaged. Some people experience varying degrees of head, neck or TMJ pain. Dr. Hendrickson through the use of computer aided technology, can completely restore your mouth to a healthy, beautiful smile.

If you experience any of the following symptoms on a regular basis you would be a candidate for full mouth reconstruction.
The first step in full mouth reconstruction is to analyze your bite (also know as occlusion). Once your occlusion has been thoroughly analyzed by Dr. Hendrickson (with the help of computer technology), a treatment plan is designed to align your occlusion to the properly functioning state.
The second step in full mouth reconstruction is delivering an appliance called an orthotic to hold your occlusion (bite) in the proper location. Dr. Hendrickson will continue to fine tune your occlusion (bite) over a period of time to find the optimal position of your bite. During this fine tuning, your pain will significantly diminish or will be completely alleviated. Once your occlusion (bite) has been corrected, Dr. Hendrickson will begin the third step of full mouth reconstruction.
The third step of full mouth reconstruction is the restorative portion. During the restorative portion your teeth will be restored in alignment with the proper occlusion (bite) using the necessary dental procedures, usually crowns. Once your teeth are restored you will no longer need your orthotic, as your teeth will be in their final properly functioning state.
When complete, you can expect to have a pain free, healthy bite. If your bite was painful, expect a significant or total alleviation of pain. Your smile will be transformed to a new, beautiful smile. Based on the reactions of other patients, you can expect to look and feel great. Many patients feel more confident and are much happier!
Of course, we have simplified the process of full mouth reconstruction for the purpose of our website.
