Sleep Apnea and Snoring

Do you suffer from mild to moderate sleep apnea?  Are you supposed to wear a CPAP to sleep a night but have given up?

Does your significant other snore and keep you awake?  Do you have to sleep in another room?  Does your snoring leave you feeling tired after a night of sleep?

Snoring — which can be a symptom of sleep apnea — and sleep apnea occur because of the soft tissue in your throat relaxing during sleep. How much the tissue collapses determines the severity of your problem.  In some cases you will totally obstruct the airway which will cause you to stop breathing.  Breathing cessation can happen hundreds of times during the night and chances are you are totally unaware of this.  In other cases you may be snoring so loudly that your spouse is sleeping elsewhere or suffering sleep deprivation from your noise.

In either case, we can solve your apnea problem today. Our office now offers a custom made device for mild to moderate sleep apnea and snoring. The device called the SomnoMed. It is designed to gently open your airway while you sleep with a custom fitted appliance.

Having the device made involves a trip to the office where your Care Coordinator will take an impression of your teeth. Once your impression is made it generally takes two to three weeks to have your appliance made and delivered.

Our own Dr. Gregg was the very first patient to receive this appliance for snoring.  His wife stands by the results 100%.  His snoring went from very loud every night to nonexistent!
